In last year October,Google Announced that webmasters can remove their website pages from Google result just with the help of one Command. Interesting read more about this below:
As per Google the status code ‘410’ is very important and even more stronger than 404 status code for the site. Well Google Webmaster Help just showed another trend for suggesting how to use 410 by a Googler.
In the suggestion, Jonathan Simon was coated saying, ‘Last year we started treating 410 responses as being a stronger signal for indicating when a page no longer exists. So for the situation you describe (where 301 redirects aren’t practical) returning a 410 response is the way to go’
This help many SEO’s around specially considering that the 404 response code for the website is a way weak than the 410 status code.
To my analysis this might also mean that every time a 410 code is discovered for any website by Googlebot that simply means that Google will not going to index that particular page and in other words 404 pages will be checked every time by Google.
Great information for removing unwanted pages from SERP’s!
