One important thing about page links is that you will typically do with new web sites is you will always link your older, higher page rank websites to your websites. For example if you already own a single page rank 4 or 5 website, then place a link on the index page of that page rank 4 or 5 website and point it to your new website. Leave the link there for few days and you'll quickly see your new website in search engine index. Once you're in the index, you can remove the link from your higher page rank website.
